Costa Rica, Central America
Nick will be leading a 18 night wildlife and wilderness safari in Costa Rica.

Abbotts Hall Farm, Essex
Nick joins the government's Minister for Nature Conservation, Elliot Morley and representatives from the project partnership, local residents, farmers, oystermen and councillors at the farm to watch the tide come in and celebrate the largest coastal realignment project ever undertaken in Europe. 

Exeter Phoenix, Exeter
Nick will be bringing along some of his pets from a menagerie that includes leeches, scorpions, tarantulas and reptiles in this exciting and informative event for children.

Goonhilly Visitor Centre, Cornwall
Nick will be launching a new educational CD-ROM based on the unique marine life of the Helford River.

Monterey Bay, California
As one of the presenters on BBC1's Abyss Live event, Nick will be putting forward viewers questions to MBARI's experts (shown only on BBC1 digital).

Uppingham Theatre, Rutland
Nick presents an amusing talk about his passion for almost anything that walks, creeps, flies or crawls. During the interval Nick will be signing copies of Nick Baker's Bug Book.

Watching Wildlife, Flatford Mills
An exciting long weekend exploring the countryside around Flatford Mill to look for the summer daytime and nighttime highflyers - birds and bats, dragonflies and damselflies, butterflies and moths - and other animals too. Activities include a visit to the RSPB reserve at Minsmere. 

RWS Filming in Lyme Regis
The RWS visited Lyme Regis recently to film Nick taking a llama for a walk along the historic Cobb. The visit was organised with the help of West Dorset District Council's tourism team, which helped the BBC with locations for filming, and Beaminister based UK Llamas which provided the animals. While on walkabout with the animals Nick asked local children how much they thought they knew about llamas. 

The Edge Wildlife Awareness Programme
Nick helps celebrates the official launch of The Edge Wildlife Awareness Programme with at Berry Head Natural Nature Reserve.

Marathon des Sables, Moroccan Sahara
Nick joins the Save the Rhino International team to run the 7 day foot race covering a total of 140 miles. The team raised £250,000 for the charity.

BioBlitz, Connecticut
Nick leads [National Geographic Channel] Explorer on this wildly fun scramble to demonstrate America’s incredible backyard biodiversity.

Lee Valley Bird Fair
Nick opened the Fair together with Ann Roberts and will be promoting his book ‘Baker’s Bug Book’ to be published later this year.

Paignton Zoo, Devon
Nick will be launching 'Whose Water' Science Year project in the Green Room at the Education Centre in Paignton Zoo at 11.30am. The focus of the project is an open competition for all ages to investigate to the simple task of washing teeth.

Avocat Cruise, East Devon
The RSPB holds its second in a series of Avocet Cruises in East Devon. It is a chance for people to see more of the wading birds. Nick will be the commentator on board and says he gets as great an adrenaline buzz from seeing hundreds of avocets wading in the low tide on the River Exe, as he does coming face to face with grizzly bears in the wild.
