Watching Wildlife, Flatford Mills
An
exciting long weekend exploring the countryside around Flatford Mill to look for
the
summer daytime and nighttime highflyers - birds and bats, dragonflies and
damselflies, butterflies and moths - and other animals too. Activities include a
visit to the RSPB reserve at Minsmere.

RWS Filming in Lyme Regis
The RWS visited Lyme Regis recently to film
Nick
taking a llama for a walk along the
historic Cobb. The
visit was organised with the help of West Dorset District Council's
tourism
team,
which helped the BBC with locations for filming, and Beaminister based UK
Llamas which
provided the animals. While on walkabout with the animals Nick
asked local
children how
much they thought they knew about llamas.

Centre in Paignton Zoo at 11.30am. The focus of the project is an open
competition for all ages
to investigate to the simple task of washing teeth.

Cruise, East Devon
The RSPB holds its second
in a series of Avocet Cruises in East Devon. It is a chance for people to
see more of the wading birds. Nick will be the commentator on board and
says
he gets as great an adrenaline buzz from seeing hundreds of avocets wading
in the low tide on the River Exe, as he does coming face to face with
grizzly bears in the wild.
