Children's Celebrity Christmas Lecture - To Bugs & Beyond, Exeter
An exciting and informative Christmas event for children. Ever wondered why spiders have eight legs and how crickets can make so much noise? Come and see some of Nick's pet scorpions and tarantulas, as well as some weird and wonderful insect specimens in the museum's collection. He'll also tell us about the way of life of different creatures found in your back garden.

Nick will be one of the guides on this 15 day trip which includes amongst the highlights whale and dolphin watching as well as a visit to a penguin rookery.

Nick is currently designing and building his own zoo in the UK that centers around presenting creepy crawlies, amphibians and reptiles in a way never seen before. The name of the zoo is ‘Weird Creatures’.

Stafford Wildlife Trust
Nick attends the SWT Preview Night & Promise Auction at the Wolseley Bridge Visitor and Education Centre. He spoke about his interest in wildlife particularly the unloved 'creepie crawlies' he so much admires - his book 'Bug Book' was also well received.

Darwin Centre, Pembrokeshire
Nick and his assistant, a boa constrictor named Julia Squeezer, captivated Pembrokeshire schoolchildren who took part in Pembrokeshire Darwin Science Festival's 2003 school science project competetion 'Science Aglow'at Pembrokeshire College.

Nick demonstrated the science of phobia at a presentation in the Merlin Theatre, where Julia Squeezer became the star attraction, unlike Nick's other companions a Chilean rose tarantula, and a house spider.
