REALLY WILD SHOW - 2000

This special edition visits a primate rescue centre in Cameroon. While Nick Baker investigates the tragic extent of the illegal bush-meat trade, Michaela Strachan meets some of the orphaned chimps and monkeys.

This show travels to the heart of Texas where presenters Nick Baker and Michaela Strachan encounter the most famous prairie animal of them all - the mighty buffalo. Howie Watkins takes a Texan safari with a difference and finds giraffes, zebras and wildebeest. Nick meets one of the friendliest animals in the whole of America - the prairie dog.  

The series about the world of nature visits Venezuela, the Caribbean and Longleat. Nick Baker and Howie Watkins contemplate a dip in a Venezuelan river which is home to piranha, crocodiles and electric eels. Michaela Strachan finds some dangerous creatures in the Caribbean, from frigate birds and laughing gulls to pistol shrimps and orchids. And the whole team embarks on a wildlife safari to Longleat in Wiltshire.  

This edition visits the wilds of Finland, where Michaela learns to be a husky sled driver. Meanwhile, Howie penetrates deep into the forest in search of wolves.

Michaela and the team travel to Trinidad and Tobago where they meet a top wildlife photographer and spend a night on a tropical beach to see the largest and most mysterious sea turtle.

Nick and Howie take a trip deep into the heart of Venezuela to discover some killers in the river - piranha, caiman crocodiles and electric eels.  

In this edition, Nick and Howie join forces on the trail of the Loch Ness Monster. Michaela is in Wales to take a look at a bird table with a difference.

This edition comes from Cameroon where Michaela meets an unlikely superstar, Afrika the hippo. Nick takes a trip to downtown Yaounde and Howie hikes across a deserted beach to find out why camels have humps.

Nick finds out how elephants in Nepal relax on their day off.

Michaela and the crew take a flight on a small plane over the snowy Himalayas and film Everest from the air.

This programme visits Venezuela and Guyana, where Michaela takes a swim with a giant otter. Nick and Howie try to find the world's largest snake, the anaconda.  

Michaela takes off in a giant hot air balloon in a journey that will take her the length and breadth of Britain in search of rare and beautiful wildlife.
